Shop

When you purchase products from our shop, as part of the buying and selling process, we will ask you to provide certain personal information. The information we collect is:

Information collected as part of the selling process allows us to perform our contract with you, to be able to sell, supply and deliver products to you. When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, place an order or return a purchase, you imply that you consent to our collecting and using that information for that specific reason only.

We accept payments through PayPal, Stripe, Apple Pay and Google Pay. As a result, we never store or have access to your payment details.

Newsletter

Opting in to our email newsletter: By opting in to our email newsletter, you give us permission to contact you with emails about our company and products, news, offers and any other marketing information. You can unsubscribe from this service at any time by clicking on the ‘unsubscribe’ link found at the bottom of our emails, or contacting us at sales@britainonfilm.co.uk. For email marketing, we use Sendinblue. Sendinblue is a service which organises and analyses the distribution of newsletters and marketing emails. If you provide data (e.g. your email address) to subscribe to our newsletter, it will be stored on Sendinblue servers. Sendinblue implements guarantees ensuring the protection and security of this data, in compliance with applicable rules and regulations. Sendinblue does not transfer or rent personal data to third parties for marketing purposes without the express consent of the Users of Sendinblue.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact forms

If you send a message through one of the contact forms on the website, your name and email are captured so we can respond to your message. We will keep your information only for as long as is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

Our ecommerce platform is provided by WooCommerce, which makes use of 3 cookies:

The first two cookies contain information about the cart as a whole and help WooCommerce know when the cart data changes. The final cookie (wp_woocommerce_session_) contains a unique code for each customer so that it knows where to find the cart data in the database for each customer. AMP_TOKEN – Contains a token that can be used to retrieve a Client ID from AMP Client ID service. Other possible values indicate opt-out, inflight request or an error retrieving a Client ID from AMP Client ID service.
